Nepal Red Cross Society, as a long time partner of Danish Red Cross, is implementing the programme which includes distribution of 8.000 kits of NFRI, 7.000 tarpaulins as well as recovery support in terms of vegetable seeds and tools to 5.000 affected households. Minor mitigation construction works and rehabilitation of water sources are also included. The total number of direct beneficiaries is estimate to approx. 128.000 persons.

The European Commission gave a grant (700.000 EUR) to Danish Red Cross to support the ongoing relief and recovery programme in the flood-affected districts in Nepal covering the period from August 2007 - February 2008.
