| The
membership fees and the procedures
for conferring membership shall be
as follows :
The Headquarters,
District Branches or Sub-Branches
can confer the prescribed membership
of the Society to a person who has
crossed the age of 16, after his/her
submission of application, with a
fixed amount of fee. However, only
the Central Executive Committee can
confer Distinguished and Honorary
Memberships.
- Ordinary
Member: Ordinary Membership
of the Society may be granted to
a person who makes a payment of
entry fee and annual membership
fee. Ordinary Membership may also
be granted for a period of five
years on lump sum payment.
- Life
Member: Life Membership
may be granted to a person who makes
a payment to the Society as prescribed,
with the objective of acquiring
it. Such membership need not be
renewed.
- Distinguished
Member: Central Executive
Committee may confer the Distinguished
Membership to any person donating
a lump sum of a fixed amount in
the form of cash, kind or in the
form of any immovable property worth
thereof to the Society.
- Illustrious
Member: Central Executive
Committee may confer Illustrious
Membership to any person remarkably
donating a lump sum of a fixed amount
in the form of cash, kind or in
the form of any immovable property
worth thereof to the Society.
- Subscribing
Member: Subscribing Membership
may be granted to any Nepali citizen
making an annual payment of a fixed
amount with the aim of assisting
the Society, or to any foreign citizen
having any other type of Membership.
Such members shall not have the
right to vote in election, and to
be a candidate as well.
- Corporate
Member: Corporate Membership
may be granted to any corporate
body donating annually a lump sum
of a fixed amount to the Society.
Such Corporate body may participate
in the meetings of the concerned
Assembly through its representative.
- Honorary
Member: The Central Executive
Committee may confer Honorary Membership
of the Society to any member or
person who has incessantly rendered
distinctive services or contributions
to the Society through his/her physical,
mental and intellectual mite conforming
to the Fundamental Principles of
Red Cross and the objectives of
Nepal Red Cross Society, in recognition
of his/her contribution.
